A niche market is a focused, targetable portion of a
market.
利基市場(chǎng)指的是集中的，目標(biāo)明確的.市場(chǎng)份額。
By definition, then, a business that focuses on a niche
market is addressing a need for a product or service that is not being addressed
by mainstream providers. You can think of a niche market as a narrowly defined
group of potential customers.
顧名思義，若一家企業(yè)專注于利基市場(chǎng)意味著這家公司對(duì)一個(gè)產(chǎn)品或服務(wù)具有需求，并且此產(chǎn)品或服務(wù)并不被主流供應(yīng)商所提供。可以把利基市場(chǎng)看作是狹義的一群潛在客戶。
For instance, instead of offering cleaning services, a
business might establish a niche market by specializing in blind cleaning
services.
比如說(shuō)，一家企業(yè)并不提供清潔服務(wù)，但可以通過(guò)致力推廣盲人清潔而成立利基市場(chǎng)。
Why
should you bother to establish a niche market? Because of the great advantage of being
alone there; other small businesses may not be aware of your particular niche
market, and large businesses won't want to bother with it.
