used to的用法

　　1 used to do sth.

　　表示“過去常常做某事或存在的狀態(tài)”。used to是一個固定結構，屬于情態(tài)動詞的范疇，其后跟動詞原形。它表示過去存在的'某種狀態(tài)或過去某種經常性、習慣性的行為或動作。目前已不復存在。因此，它只能用于過去時，不可以用在現(xiàn)在時。

　　They used to be good friends. 他們過去是好朋友。(狀態(tài))

　　He used to smoke,but now he doesn't smoke anymore.他過去經常抽煙，但現(xiàn)在不在抽了。(行為)

　　used to 用 did \didn't 或 used\usedn't 來構成疑問句或否定句。

　　My father usedn't \ didn't use to fish on Sundays.我爸爸過去不常在星期天去釣魚。

　　---Did she use to \ Used she to sing pop songs? 她過去經常唱流行歌曲嗎?

　　---Yes, she did.\ she used to.是的，她經常唱。

　　---No, she didn't.\ she usedn't to.不，她不是這樣。

　　2 be used to (doing) sth.

　　表示“習慣于做某事”。to 是介詞，后面要跟“(動)名詞”。

　　Mr.White used to live in China,so he is used to (eating) Chinese food.

　　懷特先生過去住在中國，所以他習慣吃中餐。

　　3 be used to do sth.

　　是被動語態(tài)，表示“被用來做某事”。

　　Cloth is used to make clothes.布料被用來做衣服。

　　Wood is used to make furniture.木料被用來做家具。
